More about the 31

The Scalar 31 is a hand lay-up built sailing yacht with GRP hull and mahogany superstructure with teak deck to high Scandinavian quality. The cockpit gives a luxurious classic look with a combination of mahogany and teak. The spray hood is connected to the mahogany arch from which the craftsmanship and quality of this shipyard radiates. The gangway is wide and equipped with a handle over the entire construction. The mainsail roller system is in the boom which offers the sail a good cut and stepless reefing possibilities, all lines run to the cockpit. An electric anchor winch is placed on the bow. Upon entering, the mahogany trusses that support the structure immediately stand out, the luxurious finish between dark and light make this a picture. On starboard the navigation table with seat and on port side the toilet with vacuum flush toilet. Against this is a galley placed along the side with running water, cooler and many storage options. The saloon has a U-shaped seat which can easily be transformed into a double bed. Due to the lack of a main bulkhead, there is a direct view of the double V-bed in the bow. This gives the saloon a spacious feel for a 31-foot sailing yacht. If you are looking for a "classically" designed sailing yacht with good sailing characteristics, then the Scalar 31 is definitely worth a visit!

Comments

The hulls are produced using compact laminate with 4 continuous stringer. The use of best Resin and high amount of fiber glass ensure a very resistant hull. Keel and skeg are connected seamlessly. The lead ballast is fixed to the hull from above and is covered with GfK-laminate. On top of that a strong mahogany floor construction is constructed, that is then laminated into the hull. All bulkheads stand on foam strips and are laminated on both sides. Specially strengthened bulkheads are able to hold the welded steel construction.
