Azimut is known for its high quality yacht building and fast and large motor yachts, before Azimut specialized in motor yachts they also built several sailing yachts, including this Azimut 42. Only 5 of these yachts have been built. The hull was built in Italy at Azimut and then finished at Speedwave in Kressbronn.

Until 2017 she was in the Bodensee and has also passed all certifications for this, that has led to the fact that there is no underwater toilet currently on board due to the ban on discharging into the Bodensee.
It is a beautiful ship to look at, typical IOR, from the '80s with voluptuous undulations in the hull.
The helmsman has his own sheltered cockpit with removable seat, which makes it easier to get on and off the boat. The "guest" cockpit is sheltered and has a good seat and several winches within reach. Because the superstructure is virtually flush, life on deck is generous and everything is easily accessible. In 2016/17 the entire electrical system was replaced and several MF Garmin screens were installed.
Through the entrance we enter the salon with on Port side the U-shaped galley with Eno stove with oven, side loader fridge and behind it a top loader, sink with w/k running water. On the other side the navigation table with various built-in appliances and access to the owner's cabin. Here is a semi-french double bed and a sofa which can also be used as an extra sleeping place on long crossings.
In the saloon we find 2 longitudinal seats with folding table, behind the backrests on both sides are additional 1 person berths. Below is various storage space. For with a family, this is ideal as storage space for bags.
In the bow we find the wet room with currently a PortaPotti and shower with sink. In the Punt is a double V-bed with LED mood lighting.
Behind the bed, a separate sail storage is accessible from the outside, it is situated between the anchor locker and forepeak.
