The Hanse 342 is a sporty ship with comfortable interior, thanks to the many options and innovations she is easy to handle. The cockpit is spacious and has good ergonomics. The helmsman has a good overview and the steering column is equipped with a 9" B&G chartplotter and the underdeck mounted autopilot keeps the ship excellently on course, even in more wind and waves. A Vetus bow thruster was also installed in 2021, making maneuvering easy at tighter moorings. The main sheet with overflow in the cockpit is within reach of the helmsman and gives her additional trimming capabilities, the sportier sailor will regularly have a smile on his face while sailing with this Hanse 342.

At the cabin entrance are the halyard winches placed where the mainsail halyard runs through the electric winch, also for sailors of age or with less strength this is a pleasant and enjoyable feature. The interior is modern with to starboard the L-shaped galley, equipped with double sink, top loading refrigerator and 2-burner gas stove with oven. Also here is access to the lockable aft cabin with generous bed for 2 and closet space.

On port side is the spacious wet room, with toilet, sink and shower and also access to the port stateroom from inside. The saloon has a cozy U-seat with opposite a dinette/map table where the built-in equipment such as VHF, AIS, Radio and board panel is located, all around there is plenty of storage space. In the bow is a double V-bed with thick mattresses and equipped with 2 spacious closets.
